Hightail Packaging is an innovative motorbike helmet accessory packaging solution that exemplifies the convergence of functional design and brand identity. Developed between 2017 and 2019 in Sydney, Australia, this sophisticated packaging system represents a significant advancement in motorcycle accessory presentation and storage. The design features a unique multi-layered film pouch construction that incorporates frosted film laminated with red backing, creating an optimal balance between product visibility and aesthetic appeal. The packaging solution demonstrates exceptional attention to technical specifications, utilizing gravure printing on a zip-lock foil pouch composed of PET and PE foil, enhanced with four spot colors, matte varnish, and spot UV gloss varnish. The accompanying instruction booklet employs offset printing on single-sided coated paper board with machine varnish and spot UV gloss finishing. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the fundamental concepts of freedom and simplicity associated with motorcycle riding, translating these abstract notions into tangible design elements. The packaging's unisex appeal, reusability features, and lightweight construction address multiple practical considerations while maintaining strong visual impact. This innovative approach to motorcycle accessory packaging earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing packaging design standards.
