Hide And Seek Residence

Hide And Seek Residence

Hide and Seek Residence is an innovative architectural interior design project completed in 2015 in Taichung City, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates concealed functional elements within its spatial composition to create a seamless living environment. The 386.1-square-meter residence, designed by Shi-Zhe Luo, exemplifies sophisticated space optimization through its ingenious implementation of hidden storage solutions and transformable living areas. The design philosophy centers on the concept of concealment and revelation, where massive storage cabinets are seamlessly integrated into the walls of the entrance, dining room partitions, and corridors. A notable feature is the innovative integration of smart home technology, allowing residents to control audio-visual equipment, lighting, and electric curtains through mobile devices. The residence showcases exceptional attention to cultural considerations, incorporating a suspended platform for religious worship in the living room, complete with specialized storage for ceremonial items. The children's area demonstrates particular ingenuity, featuring a walk-in dressing room cleverly converted from a half-square-meter convex space. In the dining area, movable artwork panels conceal entertainment systems, enabling the space to transition seamlessly between formal dining and family entertainment purposes. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category represents a harmonious blend of functionality, technology, and aesthetic refinement, setting new standards for contemporary residential interior design.
