Hera Phacz Home Residential Building

Hera Phacz Home Residential Building is an innovative residential architectural project that exemplifies the principles of biophilic design, seamlessly integrating nature with urban living in Porto Belo, Santa Catarina, Brazil. This 30-floor residential tower, standing at 110.82 meters tall, encompasses 16,350 square meters of total area and features 48 residential units with two apartments per floor, each boasting a generous 3.42-meter headroom. The building's distinctive design incorporates a sophisticated system of alternating plant combinations across its vertical structure, creating a dynamic facade that appears to be in constant motion. The architectural concept prioritizes resident well-being through thoughtful integration of green spaces throughout both the tower and basement levels, reflecting a post-pandemic shift toward enhanced connections with nature. The structure employs a diverse material palette including concrete, glass, metal, wood, and native vegetation, complemented by LED lighting systems. A dedicated leisure area on the sixth floor provides communal spaces that foster social interaction among residents. The project, which commenced design in July 2021 and is scheduled for completion in December 2027, represents a significant advancement in sustainable residential architecture, having earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category. The building's innovative approach to combining different floor plans while maintaining structural integrity and incorporating extensive biophilic elements demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of modern architectural challenges, particularly in creating harmonious living spaces that balance urban convenience with natural elements.
