Heli X Modular Furniture System is an innovative and versatile furniture solution designed by Helen Sauter, specifically engineered to address the challenges of contemporary urban living in compact spaces. This multifunctional system consists of six identical cubic modules, each measuring 360 x 360 x 360mm, crafted from a sophisticated combination of stainless steel framework and anodized aluminum panels. The system's distinctive design allows for remarkable adaptability, enabling the modules to be configured in multiple arrangements: they can be stacked helically to create a dynamic shelving unit, arranged horizontally to form a low table for floor-level gatherings, or utilized individually as seating elements. The ingenious construction incorporates a framework design that facilitates secure stacking through interlocking aluminum sheets, which simultaneously serve as storage surfaces for books and decorative items. The design successfully balances functional requirements with aesthetic appeal, avoiding the clinical appearance often associated with modular furniture through thoughtful material selection and form development.
