Heart Residence Residential House is an innovative residential architectural project completed in February 2021 in Taoyuan, Taiwan, that exemplifies sophisticated multi-generational living design principles. This 221-square-meter mansion uniquely connects two adjacent households into a single cohesive living space, accommodating family members spanning more than 60 years in age difference, from newborns to elderly residents. The design demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its harmonious blend of public and private spaces, featuring a distinctive entrance composed of hexagonal collaged floor tiles, custom-made ceilings, and specialized lacquer walls. The interior architecture incorporates cultural stone walls with red brick elements in the living room, creating an industrial aesthetic complemented by arc ceilings and ring-shaped chandeliers that evoke a planetary ambiance. The residence includes thoughtfully designed spaces such as an independent game room inspired by Lego blocks, creating an exclusive play area for children, while the dining and kitchen areas are strategically separated from the living room to facilitate family interaction during meal preparation and dining. The design, which earned an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases environmental consciousness through the use of green building materials and demonstrates exceptional attention to diverse user needs through its versatile spatial organization. The project's success lies in its ability to balance contemporary design elements with practical functionality, creating distinct personal spaces while maintaining cohesive communal areas that foster family interaction and create lasting memories for all generations.
