Hangho Land Boma Club is a sophisticated private club facility spanning 1,000 square meters, exemplifying innovative basement renovation and contemporary interior design excellence. The project, which garnered a Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully transforms a challenging basement space into an elegant entertainment venue. Drawing inspiration from the classical Chinese poem Visit to the Land of Peach Blossoms by Wang Wei, the design seamlessly integrates traditional Chinese aesthetic elements with modern functionality. The space features an ingeniously designed open Western-style kitchen and entertainment area, where structural elements such as beams and pillars have been artfully incorporated to enhance both aesthetics and functionality. A distinctive 9-meter-wide electric door opens to reveal a sunken courtyard, where transparent glass and wooden grilles facilitate natural light penetration, creating a bright, welcoming atmosphere. The facility encompasses multiple functional zones, including a reception area, billiards section, and karaoke space highlighted by a striking agate bar counter. Sustainable design principles are evident throughout, incorporating energy-efficient LED lighting, Geberit drainage systems, and water-saving fixtures. The interior's sophisticated layout features jade screens adorned with landscape paintings and walnut wood grilles decorated with fish-like motifs, creating a harmonious blend of traditional artistry and contemporary design. The project, completed between October 2017 and August 2019, demonstrates exceptional space optimization and innovative solutions to structural challenges, while maintaining a strong connection to Chinese cultural elements.
