Guide Of The Light Residence

Guide Of The Light Residence

Guide of the Light Residence is an exemplary single-story residential interior design project completed in June 2021 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, distinguished by its innovative spatial organization and sophisticated design elements. The 182-square-meter residence masterfully balances public and private spaces through a rational distribution system, featuring a signature design element of double-sided cabinets that elegantly divide the corridor-shaped entryway from the combined dining and kitchen area. The interior architecture demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, particularly in its ceiling treatments, where double arced designs in the living and dining areas create visual interest while concealing technical elements such as air-conditioning and lighting systems. The project's sophisticated material palette includes custom stone-patterned melamine for the TV wall, fine wood veneers, and thoughtfully integrated black mirrors that enhance spatial perception. Notable design solutions include the innovative treatment of structural beams in the public areas, where extremely fine veneer twilling creates seamless transitions between spaces. The master bedroom showcases an asymmetrical headboard design incorporating wood and grey tones with rose gold trimming, exemplifying the project's approach to refined luxury. The design successfully addresses multiple technical challenges, including the integration of storage solutions, a piano area, and the clever manipulation of corridor lengths to optimize spatial flow. This project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics, and innovative spatial planning, setting a noteworthy example in contemporary residential interior design.
