This sophisticated system, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, incorporates an intuitive color-coding mechanism and acrylic signage to facilitate efficient book location. The design features a meticulously engineered structure comprising sheet metal components and Pre-Lam MDF materials, standing at 1950mm in height with adaptable configurations for single units (350mm depth x 1095mm width) or back-to-back installations (650mm depth x 1095mm width). The system's distinguishing characteristics include self-adjustable shelves that accommodate various book sizes, strategically angled lower shelves for enhanced visibility, and an innovative indexing panel that streamlines the book search process. The design's modular nature enables easy assembly and disassembly, with flat-pack shipping capability, while maintaining structural integrity through precise manufacturing processes utilizing RAS machine bending technology. This user-centric design transforms conventional library spaces into interactive environments, addressing common challenges in book retrieval while considering both aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency.
