Green Hills Scenery Kunming Sales Center is an innovative architectural interior design project completed in 2021, representing a philosophical exploration of the relationship between human existence and natural elements, particularly water. Located in Kunming, China, this sophisticated sales center was conceptualized and brought to life by designers Beck Lyu, Kevin Zhang, and Cheng Wang, who drew inspiration from the region's unique biodiversity and geographical positioning between 20-30 degrees north latitude. The design philosophy integrates Eastern wisdom, particularly exemplified by Bruce Lee's Be Water concept, creating a space that reflects both fluidity and invisibility while examining humanity's connection to natural elements. The project, which garnered recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully incorporates the rich environmental context of Yunnan province, spanning from snow-capped mountains to rainforests, into its design narrative. The sales center's architectural language creates a natural tableau nurtured by water, exploring the intimate relationship between humanity and nature through thoughtful spatial arrangement and material selection. Developed over seven months from December 2020 to July 2021, the project stands as a testament to contemporary interior design's ability to merge philosophical contemplation with functional space, offering visitors an immersive experience that prompts reflection on human existence and our role as earth's stewards while maintaining its practical purpose as a commercial environment.
