Green Captain Sipan Island Treasures

Green Captain Sipan Island Treasures

Green Captain Sipan Island Treasures is an innovative branding and packaging design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of maritime heritage with contemporary agricultural enterprise on Croatia's Sipan Island. The design concept, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, masterfully narrates the unique story of a former tanker captain's transition to traditional cultivation through sophisticated visual elements. At the heart of the brand identity lies a cleverly designed icon that merges a leaf motif with a subtle ship silhouette, symbolizing the founder's remarkable journey from seafaring to agricultural stewardship. The comprehensive packaging system encompasses premium materials, including Fedrigoni paper and sophisticated foil applications, elevating the presentation of traditional island products such as olive oil, wine, and carob. Distinguished by its meticulous attention to detail, the design incorporates captain-inspired motifs throughout its various applications, from the elegant captain suit elements adorning olive oil bottles to the refined ship emblems gracing wine labels. The project, completed between April 2023 and February 2024, demonstrates exceptional strategic depth through its thorough research methodology, which encompassed brand strategy development, historical investigation, and careful consideration of the island's cultural heritage. The design's sophisticated execution successfully bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetic sensibilities, creating a cohesive visual narrative that resonates with contemporary consumers while honoring the rich cultural heritage of Sipan Island.
