Great China Wedding Banquet Wedding Banquet

Great China Wedding Banquet Wedding Banquet is an innovative interior design project that masterfully blends Eastern traditional elements with contemporary Western aesthetics, created by designer Chin-Hsu Huang in collaboration with Yi-Jing Liao and Chun-Chieh Chan. Located in Hemei, Changhua, historically known as the weaver's hometown, this 2,714-square-meter wedding venue draws inspiration from the local textile heritage, incorporating intricate weaving patterns and threading concepts into its architectural narrative. The design's centerpiece features an impressive 8.5-meter-high reception hall crowned with an oval glass crystal chandelier, deliberately echoing the formal headwear of the Ming dynasty. The spatial composition employs semi-open space allocation, utilizing sophisticated combinations of metallic iron, transparent glass, and translucent marble with grid-patterned metal framing to create distinct functional areas. The design philosophy emphasizes the interplay between traditional practices and modern sensibilities, manifested through carefully orchestrated elements such as diamond-themed imagery, walk-of-fame-style walkways, and strategically placed tinted mirrors. The banquet halls showcase transformed lines and colors with a sophisticated red color scheme, while gold and brown hues coordinated with metal components and marble light walls create an atmosphere of understated elegance. This innovative approach to wedding venue design, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial storytelling through its integration of lighting, materials, and cultural elements, offering young couples a unique blend of traditional values and contemporary sophistication.
