Grand View Interior Design

Grand View Interior Design is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully demonstrates the integration of classical elegance with contemporary living spaces, specifically crafted for a multi-generational family dwelling. Located on the top floor of a prestigious building in New Taipei City, Taiwan, this 200-square-meter space showcases an innovative split-level design that harmoniously combines grandeur with functionality. The centerpiece of this remarkable interior is an impressive 8-meter ceiling window that not only floods the space with natural light but also provides panoramic riverside views, establishing a powerful connection between the interior and exterior environments. The design, created by architect Shih-Hsien Yuan in 2015, features sophisticated elements including a striking magenta chandelier in the dining room, crystal handrail walls, and carefully curated black and white paintings that reflect neoclassical influences. The public spaces, encompassing the living room, kitchen, dining room, and bar area, are thoughtfully arranged to create a seamless flow that complements the spectacular views. The project's distinctive features include a marble staircase leading to a second-floor study room, mirror-adorned walls that enhance the sense of space and luxury, and an outdoor area complete with a garden and pool. This exceptional design, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies the successful fusion of classical extravagance with modern trends, creating an environment that caters to both formal entertaining and comfortable family living.
