Golden Spikes Reception Center Show House is an innovative architectural interior design project that reimagines the traditional concept of a property showroom by transforming it into an immersive theatrical experience. Located on the 35th floor of a landmark building in Banqiao, this 727-square-meter space encompasses a reception center and three distinct show houses, completed in July 2021. The design, conceptualized by Jing-Yuan Lu, draws profound inspiration from theater architecture, featuring sophisticated circular curtains and retractable metal curtains that create a dynamic spatial narrative. The project's centerpiece includes an expertly crafted spiral staircase that positions visitors at the heart of this architectural performance, while oval stainless steel corrugated panels on the ceiling evoke a starry night sky, emphasizing the building's elevated position. The reception center incorporates multiple functional areas including a project introduction space, reception area, sales section, and VIP reading room, while the show houses range from 56 to 95 square meters, offering various layouts from three-bedroom to four-bedroom configurations. Notable technical innovations include a beveled facade door designed to minimize western exposure and a sophisticated three-layer grille system that creates subtle gradations of light throughout the day. The project, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, particularly in the complex implementation of non-regular circular arcs that required precise gridding and multiple iterations during construction.
