GM11A Coffee Machine
GM11A Coffee Machine is an innovative multi-capsule coffee machine designed by Nicola Zanetti and Federico Bosque, representing a sophisticated fusion of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary functionality. This versatile appliance, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Home Appliances Design category, seamlessly combines professional-grade features with domestic practicality, making it particularly suitable for small offices and kitchen environments. The machine's design philosophy draws inspiration from professional barista equipment while maintaining accessibility for everyday users, featuring a double spout for coffee preparation and a dedicated steam pipe for milk frothing. Constructed with premium materials including ABS plastic components, stainless steel filter holder, and a durable Lexan water tank, the GM11A boasts impressive technical specifications including a robust 19-bar Italian pump system and a 1-liter water capacity. The unit's compact dimensions of 298x116x285mm make it an ideal fit for modern spaces, while its 1400W power output ensures optimal brewing performance. The design successfully bridges international aesthetic sensibilities with traditional Italian design elements, incorporating geometric simplicity with sophisticated detailing that reveals its Mediterranean heritage. Notable features include a user-friendly touch interface that adds a contemporary technological dimension to the traditional coffee-making experience, and versatile compatibility with various coffee formats including ground coffee, paper pods, and multiple capsule types through specialized adaptors. The machine's thoughtful engineering is evident in its effortless filter holder mechanism, which utilizes a long lever for smooth, forceless operation, demonstrating the designers' commitment to both functionality and user experience.
