Glory Residential House
Glory Residential House is an exemplary residential architectural project completed in 2016 in Taichung City, Taiwan, showcasing a masterful integration of classical elegance and modern functionality across its 461 square meters of living space. The residence, designed by Wei-Ting Lin, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and sophisticated interior design solutions that harmoniously blend grandiloquent aesthetics with practical living requirements. The interior design scheme employs a refined color palette dominated by neutral grays, complemented by beige, greyish blue, and matte gold accents, creating an atmosphere of timeless sophistication. The property features a thoughtfully arranged multi-level layout, with the ground floor hosting elegantly appointed living spaces, while the basement level, notably the largest space in the house, has been transformed into a well-illuminated recreational area divided into distinct zones including a female lounge with a gourmet kitchen, an expansive 4-meter dining table, and a private spa facility with a hot tub. The opposite wing houses a male lounge dedicated to wine tasting, musical pursuits, and billiards, enhanced by innovative architectural elements such as a glass ceiling that creates engaging interplay with the swimming pool's reflections. The private quarters incorporate master and secondary bedrooms alongside a study room equipped with advanced home automation systems, demonstrating a successful marriage of traditional design elements with contemporary technology. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in spatial optimization, material selection, and the integration of intelligent living solutions while maintaining an unwavering commitment to aesthetic refinement and functional efficiency.
