Glistening Light And View Hotel Interior Design

Glistening Light And View Hotel Interior Design

Glistening Light and View Hotel Interior Design is an award-winning architectural interior design project completed in 2018 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates urban scenery, historical elements, and natural beauty into a sophisticated hospitality space. The design, conceived by Yuan-Shih Hsien, transforms emotional shifts into tangible experiences through thoughtful spatial arrangement and material selection, particularly evident in its sophisticated use of marble, wood, and metallic elements. The project's distinctive features include a harmonious lobby where carefully curated furnishings echo the building's facade, while innovative lighting solutions create dynamic interplay between light and shadow throughout the space. The design philosophy emphasizes the activation and repurposing of existing architectural elements, incorporating local cultural elements through the use of Kaohsiung's representative colors and materials. The interior spans multiple floors, with public spaces occupying the first three levels and private accommodations above, featuring waterfall-like murals, retro-modern lighting fixtures, and carefully selected fabrics that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its marriage of functionality and aesthetics, particularly in how it connects interior spaces with exterior views of Love River, a symbolic waterway in Kaohsiung. The design successfully balances modernity with tranquility, incorporating elements such as red brick walls, vintage tiles, and preserved structural components to create a sophisticated environment that honors both contemporary design principles and local heritage.
