Glance Mirror

Glance Mirror is an innovative furniture design that seamlessly combines functionality and aesthetic appeal in a self-standing mirror system. This sophisticated piece, designed by Italian designer Matteo Coracin, represents a significant advancement in fitting room and wardrobe organization technology. The design features an adjustable height mechanism that accommodates users of varying statures, incorporating both a head mirror and a lower hanger component that can be modified to suit individual needs. The mirror's essential and minimalist design aesthetic ensures its versatility in both residential and retail environments, while its self-standing structure eliminates the need for wall mounting, offering enhanced flexibility in placement. Crafted from a thoughtful combination of mirror, wood, and metal materials, the piece measures 1400mm x 690mm x 1850mm, making it a substantial yet well-proportioned addition to any space. The distinguishing feature of this design lies in its unique ability to provide users with an immediate preview of how clothing will appear when worn, without the necessity of trying on the garments. This innovative functionality is achieved through a strategically positioned hanger system that extends from behind the mirror, allowing for the display of complete outfits. The design, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, exemplifies the perfect balance between practical utility and contemporary design sensibilities. Its development was inspired by the common challenge of efficient outfit selection, addressing the time-consuming nature of traditional fitting processes. The mirror's construction emphasizes simplicity while maintaining an attractive appearance, making it an accessible and appealing solution for both domestic and commercial applications. This design represents a significant contribution to the evolution of functional furniture design, offering a practical solution to everyday dressing challenges while maintaining high aesthetic standards.
