Gift of Huangyao Sauce is an innovative packaging design that exemplifies the fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary design aesthetics, created by designer Jie Yang. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning packaging solution features a sophisticated three-dimensional paper-cut design that ingeniously represents a traditional Chinese courtyard through three distinct layers of hollowed-out paper elements. The design's architectural composition progresses from gatehouses, archways, and bridges in the foreground, symbolizing connection to the external world, through to central pavilions representing local life, and culminates in a backdrop of mountains and rivers signifying stability and permanence. The packaging's dimensions of 380mm length, 150mm width, and 75mm thickness accommodate both functional requirements and aesthetic appeal, while the innovative use of degradable environmental paper as the primary material demonstrates a commitment to sustainability. The design's distinctive bottle cap, fashioned to resemble a traditional flagstone road, serves as a metaphor for the product's journey into homes far and wide, while the overall composition employs staggered printing techniques to achieve a sophisticated perspective effect that creates depth and visual interest.
