Genel Energy Head Office is a meticulously designed corporate workspace spanning approximately 3,350 square meters, exemplifying a harmonious blend of contemporary design principles and biophilic elements. Located within a high-rise building, this innovative office interior, designed by Emre Omay and Batu Derer, showcases a sophisticated approach to modern workplace design through its thoughtful integration of mid-season colors and natural materials, effectively bridging the gap between employees and nature in an urban setting. The design philosophy emphasizes angular lines that echo the building's facade, enhanced by strategic lighting solutions that create dynamic visual movement throughout the space. Notable features include an artificial onyx-like reception desk, carefully selected bonsai trees for longevity, and extensive use of natural oak in meeting rooms, where the material's warmth is accentuated by custom lighting fixtures. The workspace incorporates metal suspended ceilings with linear LED lighting in private office areas, while automated motion and daylight-sensitive HVAC systems ensure optimal energy efficiency. This Iron A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2014, stands out for its superior attention to employee satisfaction and productivity, incorporating modern management principles while maintaining a strong connection to natural elements. The design successfully addresses the challenges of creating a comfortable, productive workplace environment within a high-rise setting, utilizing a palette of materials including wood and marble to create an atmosphere that promotes well-being and efficiency.
