Gem Dream Style Exhibition is an innovative interior exhibition space design that masterfully combines optical illusions, lighting technology, and reflective surfaces to create an immersive jewelry display environment. Created by architects Jiang Yuan and Song Chen, this sophisticated exhibition design, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, transforms a 15m x 40m space into an ethereal realm where reality and illusion seamlessly merge. The exhibition's entrance features an eight-meter-high fashion picture wall juxtaposed against a shuttered mirroring facade, creating a captivating spatial vision that envelops visitors in a kaleidoscope of reflections. The main exhibition hall showcases an array of diamond-shaped installations of varying sizes, some functioning as mirroring devices with LED-illuminated edges, while others are light-emitting frames that form diamond silhouettes. A particularly innovative aspect is the implementation of dichroic film on select diamond surfaces, which creates dynamic color variations depending on the viewer's position. The design employs a sophisticated light reflection simulation program to achieve precise visual effects, while computer modeling was utilized to create authentic diamond configurations. The exhibition's floor and ceiling incorporate mirroring materials that generate an infinite spatial expansion effect, enhanced by the strategic placement of LED arrays forming the iconic Serpenti motif. This groundbreaking design successfully overcomes the technical challenge of balancing vibrant color presentation with high-fidelity lighting, particularly crucial for jewelry display, through the innovative application of 3M dichroic glass film technology. The exhibition, which was displayed in Beijing's 798 Art District, represents a significant advancement in exhibition design methodology, earning recognition from the A' Design Award for its exceptional integration of technology, aesthetics, and spatial innovation.
