Gem Box Of Memories Residence

Gem Box Of Memories Residence

Gem Box of Memories Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project encompassing 317 square meters on the 16th floor of a contemporary residential building in Taichung City, Taiwan. The design masterfully balances modern new classical styling with personal elements, featuring a distinctive 7-meter-long photo wall in the dining area that serves as both a memory preservation system and an artistic installation. The residence's spatial arrangement maximizes its panoramic 180-degree views, with the living and dining areas strategically positioned to capture the expansive vista. The project's innovative approach to environmental control includes adjustable louver windows installed at full-height windows, enabling precise management of natural lighting and temperature for enhanced energy efficiency. The interior design scheme employs a sophisticated material palette combining marble and timber with natural textures, complemented by mirror surfaces and titanium-plated metalwork to create an atmosphere of elegant grandeur. The original curtain glass wall was thoughtfully transformed into a vegetated environment, introducing natural elements that enhance the living space's vitality. The overall design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its pure white color scheme accented with low-tone grey and earth colors, creating a harmonious balance between luxury and functionality while addressing the unique requirement of preserving personal memories through architectural elements.
