Garuda Collection Ring, Earrings

Garuda Collection Ring, Earrings is an exquisite jewelry ensemble that masterfully combines cultural symbolism with contemporary design aesthetics, created by Italian-based designer Amelia Rachim and the MAESTÁ Design Team. This sophisticated collection draws its inspiration from the Garuda, Indonesia's national symbol, a mythical bird prominent in both Hindu and Buddhist mythology, transforming this ancient deity into wearable art pieces. The collection features meticulously crafted pieces made from 18-carat gold, incorporating symbolic elements through its intricate design details: eight feathers on the wing, seventeen black stones adorning the head, and forty-five stones on the wing, collectively representing Indonesia's independence date of August 17, 1945. The ring, measuring 36.26 mm in width, 17.87 mm in height, and 23.11 mm in depth, features an innovative double ring and open ring combination, while the complementing earrings measure 31.26 mm in width, 17.87 mm in height, and 10.05 mm in depth. Produced through a highly precise micro-casting process, the collection successfully balances masculine elements of the Garuda creature with feminine elegance through the thoughtful combination of flowing curves and bold black zircon stones. This design achievement was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Jewelry Design category, acknowledging its exceptional fusion of cultural heritage with contemporary jewelry design. The collection represents a significant contribution to modern jewelry design, demonstrating how traditional cultural elements can be reinterpreted through innovative design approaches while maintaining their historical significance and symbolic value.
