Garden Space Office

Garden Space Office

Garden Space Office is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of workspace functionality with biophilic design principles, created by designer Idan Chiang. This 230-square-meter office space, completed in 2018 in Taiwan, represents a sophisticated transformation of a 30-year-old structure into a contemporary workplace that prioritizes employee wellbeing and aesthetic excellence. The design philosophy centers on creating a feminine, floral-toned environment that seamlessly blends natural elements with modern office requirements. Distinguished by its thoughtful incorporation of cherry blossoms, spring greens, and abundant florals, the space features a striking contrast between industrial elements like polished concrete floors and softer design elements including white-washed exposed brick walls and modern brass-trimmed counters. The layout encompasses multiple functional zones, including a reception area, ten workspaces, a kitchen with a central island accommodating eight people, a meeting room, garage, and an upstairs yoga studio and lounge area. A notable feature is the 33-square-meter outdoor balcony that extends the natural elements of the design. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional space utilization through its open-plan design that facilitates both collaborative and individual work while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The integration of an electric fireplace, multi-function meeting areas, and a carefully curated color palette of pinks and rose hues creates an environment that transcends traditional office design paradigms, fostering a sense of community and wellbeing among its occupants.
