Garden Home Interior Space Design

Garden Home Interior Space Design

Garden Home Interior Space Design is an innovative interior architecture project that reimagines traditional spatial boundaries by incorporating design elements inspired by Jiangnan gardens, completed in 2022 in Beijing, China. This 51-square-meter residential space design, created by Yi Huile, Liu Zulong, and Xia Yiting, challenges conventional rigid spatial definitions through the implementation of fluid, S-shaped walls and dynamic curved elements that create a harmonious flow between different functional areas. The design's distinctive approach employs sophisticated material combinations including micro cement, solid wood panels, herringbone wood parquet flooring, and sintered stone, carefully integrated to achieve a balance between aesthetics and functionality. The project's innovative spatial organization is characterized by its thoughtful integration of concealment and revelation principles, where carefully calculated perspectives and shadow play guide residents through the space, creating an evolving visual experience reminiscent of traditional garden design principles. The designers successfully addressed the challenge of maintaining visual coherence while incorporating numerous curves by meticulously calibrating the ratio between straight and curved lines throughout the space, resulting in a balanced and cohesive environment that enhances the domestic atmosphere. This exceptional design approach earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its contribution to innovative residential space design. The project demonstrates exceptional proficiency in spatial planning, where each curve and contour serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, creating a continuous, flowing living experience that transforms the conventional notion of home interior design into a more organic, nature-inspired environment.
