Gabo Ring is an innovative and interactive piece of jewelry design that represents a sophisticated fusion of playful functionality and luxurious craftsmanship. Created in 2019, this distinctive ring features a dynamic design composed of two independently rotating modules adorned with precisely set precious gemstones, including citrines, topazes, green tourmalines, garnets, and diamonds, all mounted in 18K yellow gold. The design draws inspiration from the concept of childhood wonder and the mechanical intrigue of puzzle cubes, translating these elements into a refined piece of wearable art. The ring's sophisticated engineering allows users to rotate its modules to create various aesthetic combinations, effectively offering multiple styling possibilities within a single piece. Its technical specifications include a 17mm inner band diameter, 4mm band width, and 13mm module width, with the total height reaching 28mm from the band's base to the cube's apex. The construction process involved advanced digital design methods, including CAD modeling, followed by precise manual craftsmanship in casting, gemstone setting, and assembly. This innovative approach to jewelry design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Jewelry Design category, acknowledging its contribution to contemporary jewelry design through its unique combination of interactive elements, precious materials, and meaningful conceptual foundation.
