Fuxi Inn Hotel

Fuxi Inn Hotel

Fuxi Inn Hotel is a meticulously renovated architectural masterpiece located in the heart of the Xitang scenic spot, exemplifying the harmonious fusion of traditional Jiangnan aesthetics with contemporary design elements. The renovation project, completed in November 2017, transformed a dilapidated structure into a sophisticated hospitality venue that preserves the cultural heritage of the region while introducing modern comfort and functionality. The design philosophy embraces simplicity and poetic sensibility, featuring innovative spatial arrangements including dual-entry structure rooms and strategically placed roof windows that enhance natural lighting and ventilation. The comprehensive renovation process involved significant structural improvements, including the restoration of wooden beams, roof reconstruction with careful attention to traditional tiling techniques, and wall reinforcement using modern engineering methods. Distinguished by its minimalist approach to decoration, the interior design eschews ornate patterns in favor of refined material selections and thoughtful proportions that create a sophisticated atmosphere. The project's success in balancing preservation with innovation earned it the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its exceptional contribution to hospitality design. The space utilizes traditional elements such as grey-green roof tiles as design features, creating a visual connection to the region's architectural heritage while ensuring modern comfort and sustainability. The renovation not only addressed structural challenges but also created a contemporary interpretation of traditional inn design, offering guests an authentic yet refined experience of Jiangnan culture.
