Future Ideal City Experience Hall
Future Ideal City Experience Hall is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies the intersection of futuristic aesthetics and functional exhibition space design. Located in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou City, this cutting-edge experience hall serves as a portal to envision future urban living through its sophisticated design elements and interactive spatial arrangements. The design, created by Haiman Zhang in collaboration with team members Zihui Chen and Ying Tang, employs stainless steel mirrors as a primary material to create an expansive visual effect, effectively stretching and enlarging the perceived space while simultaneously reflecting the project's futuristic theme. The hall's design philosophy centers on the concept of a Future Cloud City, incorporating disorderly stacked ABS square tubes that simulate cloud formations and facilitate dialogue between interior and exterior spaces. The installation features distinct functional areas that flow naturally into one another, while blue decorative elements add warmth and accessibility to the otherwise technologically-driven environment. Completed in October 2020, this silver A' Design Award-winning project successfully overcomes spatial limitations through innovative material usage and thoughtful design solutions, creating multiple levels of interaction between visitors, architecture, and the concept of future urban living. The experience hall's outer facade combines mirror surfaces with metallic elements to inject a sense of tension and futurity into the overall space, while the middle space guides visitors through material transitions, and the lower space employs spherical elements to add dynamism to linear arrangements.
