Free Touch Movable Light Switch

Free Touch Movable Light Switch

Free Touch Movable light switch is an innovative wireless lighting control system that revolutionizes traditional switch functionality through its unique portable design and advanced human body pressure sensing technology. Developed by designer Ding Wang and team in 2017-2018, this groundbreaking solution consists of two primary components: a compact wafer-sized switch measuring 30mm x 30mm x 2mm and a solar-powered baseplate. The switch employs sophisticated pressure-sensing technology that enables users to control lighting fixtures through natural touch interactions, eliminating the constraints of conventional fixed-position switches. Its distinctive feature lies in its remarkable versatility and mobility, allowing users to position the switch anywhere they deem convenient - from bedside surfaces to door handles, chair armrests, or tabletops. The baseplate incorporates an integrated solar panel and card slot charging system, ensuring sustainable operation through solar energy harvesting. This innovative design, which earned the prestigious Gold A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, addresses common household inconveniences associated with traditional fixed switches, including the elimination of unnecessary wiring, enhanced accessibility, and improved user experience through unconscious, natural interactions. The system's implementation of advanced signal transmission technology and ultra-thin pressure sensors within its compact form factor represents a significant technological achievement in lighting control interface design, offering a more intuitive and flexible approach to environmental lighting management.
