Free Flowing Private Residential Apartment
Free Flowing Private Residential Apartment is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies contemporary urban living solutions, specifically crafted to create a harmonious sanctuary within the bustling metropolis of Hong Kong. This sophisticated residential space, which won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its seamless integration of various design elements and materials. The 952-square-foot apartment showcases a masterful implementation of Italian White Fine Vein Staturio Marble, Crocodile Black Marble, French Wood Veneer, and Black Plated Stainless Steel, creating a cohesive aesthetic that maximizes both functionality and visual appeal. The design philosophy centers on generating fluid spatial sequences through careful material selection, textural contrasts, and layering techniques, effectively expanding the perceived dimensions of the space. Notable features include a characteristic white marble wall with bookmatched fine greyish slanted veins in the open-concept dining area, complemented by Italian black multi-light pendants. The ceiling design, inspired by White Fine Vein Staturio Marble textures, creates an atmosphere of grandeur throughout the living spaces. The interior incorporates innovative storage solutions through coherent closet designs finished with textured wood and black stainless steel accents, demonstrating how thoughtful design can transform a compact urban dwelling into a luxurious retreat. The master bedroom's integration with a hidden wardrobe wall serves as an elegant transition between common and private areas, while the floating island cabinet introduces an element of architectural lightness. This award-winning design successfully addresses the challenges of urban living by creating a space that feels expansive and serene while maintaining practical functionality.
