Frederik Beer Bottle Series is an innovative glass packaging design that revolutionizes the traditional beer bottle concept through its distinctive rounded-edge square cross-section, present in both the neck and main body of the vessel. This groundbreaking design, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, represents a significant departure from conventional cylindrical beer bottle designs. The bottle's unique geometric profile creates a harmonious balance between label areas while incorporating a complementary soft square-shaped pim on its reverse side. Manufactured using blow and blow glass forming technology, the bottle measures 68mm in width and depth, with a height of 221mm, and features a diagonal length of 72mm at its rounded sections. The design's technical specifications include an empty bottle weight of 330g, which increases to 690g when filled, and maintains a tilt angle of 19 degrees with a product vacuity of 5.7%. The project, which spanned approximately 1.5 years of development, underwent rigorous testing including vertical load, impact, and inner pressure analyses using Ansys Analyzing Program to ensure structural integrity despite its unconventional shape. The design process involved extensive research into user profiles, drawing inspiration from elements of elegance, grace, and gentility, while also incorporating influences from traditional beer culture and Renaissance art. This innovative approach to pressurized beverage packaging demonstrates exceptional technical achievement in glass manufacturing while offering a fresh perspective on beer bottle aesthetics, making it particularly suitable for premium market segments and exclusive hospitality venues.
