Frame Umbrella Stand

Frame Umbrella Stand

Frame Umbrella Stand is an innovative furniture design piece that exemplifies the harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic refinement in contemporary interior accessories. Created by designer Dmitry Samygin, this sophisticated storage solution addresses the practical need for umbrella organization while contributing to interior aesthetics through its thoughtful architectural form. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, features a dual-tier construction crafted from precision-engineered brass tubes of 14mm and 10mm diameters. Standing at 1015mm in height with a diameter of 370mm, the structure incorporates two distinctive rings connected by vertical elements, creating a minimalist yet visually striking silhouette. The stand's intelligent design includes specialized hooks in the upper section for accommodating smaller umbrellas, while larger umbrellas can be suspended from the top ring by their handles or positioned at the base. A notable functional element is the removable metal bowl integrated into the lower section, which efficiently collects water from wet umbrellas, preventing floor damage and maintaining cleanliness. The brass construction not only ensures durability but also adds a sophisticated metallic accent to interior spaces, making it particularly suitable for entryways and hallways where both functionality and aesthetic appeal are paramount. This design exemplifies the principles of modern furniture design through its consideration of material properties, user interaction, and environmental responsibility, while its reception of the A' Design Award underscores its contribution to contemporary furniture design innovation.
