Forestry Ocean Interior Design

Forestry Ocean Interior Design

Forestry Ocean Interior Design is an exemplary residential interior design project located in the northern part of Taipei Metropolitan Area, adjacent to the Yangming Mountainous Area, that masterfully integrates natural elements with contemporary architectural principles. Created by designer Yi-Chun Pan, this Silver A' Design Award-winning project seamlessly bridges the gap between urban living and natural serenity through thoughtful spatial planning and innovative material selection. The design's distinctive features include gray-black stone facades, staggered convex window sills, and dark brown metal grating walls combined with ceramic tiles that create an organic pattern reminiscent of green branches. The interior spaces are characterized by a sophisticated interplay of white and dark wood veneers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the 1,660-square-meter site. The project's most notable achievement lies in its innovative use of horizontal strip ceilings with subtle embedded lighting, three-dimensional wood wall treatments arranged in trapezoid shapes, and strategically placed floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the surrounding natural landscape like living artwork. The community gym exemplifies the design's philosophy through its rectangular layout and wooden elements, while deliberately misplaced lighting fixtures create a forest-like ambiance where light filters through as if penetrating through tree canopies. This award-winning design successfully transforms a residential lobby and its public spaces into a tranquil urban sanctuary that offers respite from the fast-paced city life, demonstrating excellence in both aesthetic appeal and functional design principles.
