Forest Breath Residential Showflats

Forest Breath Residential Showflats

Forest Breath Residential Showflats is an innovative residential interior design project completed in June 2020 in Taichung City, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates natural elements with contemporary living spaces. The 104-square-meter fourth-floor residence, designed by Pingyu Kuo, represents a sophisticated approach to modern living by seamlessly merging indoor and outdoor environments. The design's primary concept revolves around expanding public spaces and incorporating natural elements into the interior, creating an environment that evolves with the changing patterns of natural light throughout the day. The layout combines the study room and living room to optimize spatial flow, while employing a multi-layered plant system on the balcony that harmoniously integrates with the interior's natural materials. The project features a thoughtful material palette including melamine board, quartz lamina, marble, glass, wood, and steel, creating a cohesive design language throughout the space. A notable architectural element is the innovative shutter system constructed from quartz lamina, wood, and steel, serving as a focal point in the public area. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and innovative approach to residential design. The interior arrangement distinctively separates public and private zones through careful planning, utilizing natural materials and low chromaticity to establish a serene atmosphere that promotes a harmonious connection between residents and their environment.
