Forest And Greenery Private House

Forest And Greenery Private House

Forest and Greenery Private House is an innovative residential architectural project completed in 2017 in Taipei, distinguished by its harmonious integration of natural elements within an urban setting. This sophisticated private residence, designed by Arthur Ho, represents a masterful blend of interior and exterior spaces, featuring a striking 6-meter plant wall that serves as the primary focal point of the entrance. The design's most notable feature is its embedded block - a thoughtfully renovated space measuring 9 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 6 meters in height, which functions as the main entrance and houses an elegant spiral staircase connecting to the second floor. The 545-square-meter residence showcases an intricate interplay of natural and architectural elements, including sky windows that facilitate natural light penetration, indoor water plant tanks, and stone walls that create multiple visual layers. The design philosophy emphasizes the creation of an urban oasis, with the plant wall conceptualized as a vertical forest that serves as a visual anchor for all adjoining indoor areas. The integration of white space in the back yard's lower wall extends the focal point throughout the property, while increased wall heights ensure privacy from neighboring structures. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates exceptional spatial planning, incorporating materials such as wood, metal, marble, stone, and innovative use of wallpaper, tile, and carpet to create a cohesive living environment that successfully merges functionality with natural aesthetics.
