Food Stories Collection of centerpieces is an innovative series of laser-cut stainless steel tableware designs that draws inspiration from nature's geometric patterns and organic growth forms. Created by Italian designer Isa Medola, this collection comprises six progressively larger centerpieces, ranging from 350mm to 1130mm in dimension, each crafted from 1mm thick stainless steel plates. The design philosophy behind this collection stems from the observation of natural branching patterns and their underlying mathematical precision, translating these principles into functional art pieces that serve both aesthetic and practical purposes. Each piece in the collection features intricate branched shapes that emerge from the steel plate, creating an elegant interplay of negative and positive space that mimics the steady geometry found in natural growth patterns. The centerpieces are versatile in their functionality, capable of accommodating various types of finger foods, sushi, or other culinary presentations while simultaneously serving as sophisticated sculptural elements.
