Flying Flying I Wish Interior Design
Flying Flying I Wish Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of nature-inspired elements with contemporary living spaces. Completed in 2016 in Taiwan, this 320-square-meter space represents a revolutionary approach to residential design, transforming conventional living environments into a healing forest atmosphere. The design, conceived by Chien-Chien Chu, masterfully incorporates biophilic principles through its distinctive use of tree imagery, symbolizing parental nurture and natural growth. The space features a sophisticated color palette of creamy white and varying oak tones, creating a serene and organic ambiance. Notable architectural elements include curved ceiling formations reminiscent of floating clouds, complemented by Orion-inspired lighting configurations that stimulate imaginative thinking. The living room's strategic placement of sofas near large windows facilitates contemplative viewing of exterior landscapes, while the reading and playing room showcases innovative crescent-moon-shaped bookshelves that encourage dynamic interaction with literature. The design's most distinctive feature is the trees corridor, which serves as an interface between inhabitants and space, featuring branch-like lighting structures that metaphorically represent growth and vitality. This exceptional project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, demonstrates outstanding achievement in spatial innovation, material selection, and functional layout design. The project successfully creates an environment that nurtures both children's development and adults' need for tranquility, effectively challenging traditional residential design paradigms while maintaining practical functionality.
