Fluid Interior Cabinet

Fluid Interior Cabinet

Fluid Interior Cabinet is an innovative and ecologically conscious furniture piece designed by Elena Kornilova, exemplifying a harmonious blend of artistic craftsmanship and sustainable design principles. This sophisticated storage solution, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, showcases a distinctive aesthetic inspired by Chinoiserie art, featuring fluid patterns and delicate tracery that evoke natural formations found in stone and wood. The cabinet, measuring 1090mm in width, 410mm in depth, and 1630mm in height, is constructed using eco-friendly materials, primarily utilizing ECO Boards as an environmentally responsible alternative to traditional MDF, ensuring zero formaldehyde emissions. The exterior is adorned with textured dark brown cork, harvested sustainably from cork oak trees without causing harm to the living specimens, and treated with an invisible protective finish to enhance durability. The design is elevated by bronze handles that serve as sculptural elements, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship, while the interior features dark matt brass finishing, creating a luxurious aesthetic that extends throughout the piece. This versatile cabinet, designed for both residential and office environments, combines functional storage capabilities with environmental consciousness, representing a significant achievement in contemporary furniture design that addresses both aesthetic and ecological considerations through its innovative use of sustainable materials and sophisticated artistic expression.
