Flov Recycling Bathroom Complex is an innovative bathroom furniture design that addresses global water conservation challenges through an integrated recycling system. Developed by Turkish designers Mehmet Savas and Yeliz Gumus in 2016, this sophisticated sanitary solution combines a washbasin and toilet unit within a compact 0.6 square meter footprint, featuring a modern aesthetic characterized by smooth corners, pastel colors, and futuristic design elements. The complex incorporates an advanced filtration system that captures and purifies grey water from the washbasin for subsequent use in toilet cleaning and personal hygiene functions, achieving significant water savings of 12-15 liters per person. Constructed primarily from durable and hygienic acrylic materials, the unit encompasses multiple integrated components including a 50-liter recycling water reservoir, carbon and micron filtration systems, waste bin, toilet paper storage, paper towel rack, and soap dispenser. The design, inspired by the perpetual renewal cycles found in nature, particularly flowers, features a modular construction with separable toilet and washbasin components, complemented by a movable brass chrome-nickel faucet and photocell-operated toilet system. The complex includes a digital interface that displays real-time water consumption metrics, filtered water ratios, and daily usage limits, promoting user awareness of water conservation efforts. This environmentally conscious design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design category, represents a significant advancement in sustainable bathroom solutions, combining practical functionality with environmental responsibility and contemporary aesthetics.
