Fleur Chair

Fleur Chair

Fleur Chair is an Art Deco-inspired seating design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of geometric forms and floral aesthetics, created by Brazilian designer Linda Martins. This innovative furniture piece features a distinctive rotating base and embodies the essence of feminine design through its stylized flower representation. The chair's composition demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, incorporating high-density foam construction with embroidered velvet upholstery that creates dynamic volumetric effects. The design's structural elements are thoughtfully conceived, with a metal base adorned with embroidered circular patterns symbolizing seeds, while the half-circle backrest features petal-like embroidery motifs. A notable aspect of the design is its golden-hued stem element, which pays homage to the luxurious characteristics of the Art Deco movement. Developed between August 2018 and January 2019, spanning from China to Brazil, the chair represents a contemporary interpretation of classical design elements. The Fleur Chair, which received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2019, showcases exceptional versatility in its application, being suitable for various interior settings including living rooms, bedrooms, and office spaces. Its swivel functionality enhances its practical appeal, allowing it to serve as both a statement piece and a space-dividing element. The design successfully addresses the challenge of reimagining Art Deco principles for modern use while maintaining its own distinct character and charm.
