FlAVATAR Glowing Flowers

FlAVATAR Glowing Flowers

flAVATAR Glowing flowers is an innovative botanical illumination system that represents a groundbreaking advancement in decorative lighting and horticultural technology. Developed by Hungarian designer Richard Kun, this revolutionary creation transforms ordinary flowers and plants into naturally luminescent organisms through a proprietary treatment process that utilizes completely plant-based, environmentally safe ingredients. The technology, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, enables flowers to emit a vibrant glow in various colors including green, light blue, aqua blue, red, and white for up to 30 minutes when placed in darkness after charging, with a subtle luminescence persisting for 4-5 additional hours. Distinguished by its completely natural approach that avoids genetic manipulation, the innovation emerged from extensive research initiated in Budapest during 2014, addressing the long-standing scientific pursuit of creating naturally illuminating flowers. The treatment process, which is conducted at specific temperature conditions not exceeding 15 degrees Celsius, seamlessly integrates with both cut flowers and potted plants, maintaining their natural appearance during daylight while revealing their ethereal luminescence at night. This groundbreaking design not only represents a significant advancement in decorative lighting but also demonstrates the potential for sustainable, nature-based solutions in contemporary lighting design.
