Fjord Multifunctional Carafe

Fjord Multifunctional Carafe

Fjord Multifunctional Carafe is an innovative hospitality-focused water vessel that revolutionizes traditional table service through its integrated multifunctional design. Created by Indian designer Siddhant Agarwal, this sophisticated carafe seamlessly combines water storage, ice cooling, and ambient lighting functionalities into a single elegant form. The design features a thoughtfully engineered structure with an integrated ice compartment that eliminates the need for separate ice containers while ensuring optimal temperature control. The carafe's distinctive form, characterized by its carefully calculated curves, accommodates one liter of water capacity and storage for up to 20 ice cubes (25mm each) in its dedicated chamber. Constructed primarily from acrylic with plastic wood caps, the vessel incorporates an innovative soft lighting element in its base, effectively replacing the need for traditional table candles and reducing table clutter in restaurant settings. The design's intelligent functionality allows for natural ice melt to supplement the water supply while maintaining temperature, significantly reducing service staff dependencies. This Iron A' Design Award-winning creation stands at 300mm in length with a tapered profile ranging from 100mm at its widest point to 70mm at its base, embodying both practical utility and aesthetic refinement. The carafe's versatility extends beyond water service, as it can be utilized for cocktail preparation and wine infusion, making it particularly valuable in contemporary bars and restaurants where space efficiency and multifunctionality are paramount.
