Fitted Sheets
Fitted sheets are bed linens that are designed to fit snugly over a mattress. Unlike flat sheets, which are simply draped over the mattress and tucked in at the corners, fitted sheets have elasticized corners that hold them in place. This design helps to keep the sheet smooth and wrinkle-free, even as the sleeper moves around during the night. Fitted sheets are typically made from cotton, although other materials such as linen and bamboo may also be used. They come in a range of sizes to fit different mattress dimensions, from twin to California king. Some fitted sheets are also designed to fit extra-deep mattresses, which are becoming increasingly common as people opt for thicker, more comfortable mattresses. One of the benefits of fitted sheets is that they are easy to put on and take off. The elasticized corners make it simple to slip the sheet over the mattress, and the sheet stays in place without the need for frequent adjustments. Fitted sheets also help to protect the mattress from dirt, dust, and other debris, which can extend the life of the mattress. While fitted sheets are a common feature of most bedding sets, they can also be purchased separately. This allows consumers to mix and match colors and patterns to create a customized look for their bedroom.
