First Sight Interior Design

First Sight Interior Design

First Sight Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in 2018 that exemplifies sophisticated minimalism through its innovative use of fair-faced plastering and layered architectural elements. The design philosophy centers on creating a space that evokes the emotional resonance of first love, incorporating a harmonious blend of materials and techniques to achieve this sentiment. The project's distinctive features include complex ceiling treatments, professional fair-faced plastering with varied textures, and a refined color palette dominated by wooden, white, and grey tones. Measuring 10560 mm x 10520 mm x 280 mm, the space utilizes indirect ceiling lighting to create an unobstructed visual flow while maintaining intimate warmth. The design, created by Tong-Yi Hu and Yi-Ruei Sie, showcases exceptional craftsmanship through its embossed layering techniques and smooth coating applications, which render the wall surfaces both delicate and functional. The project employs premium materials including titanium plated with rose gold, super wear-resistant wooden flooring, natural veneer dye, and clear glass, creating a balanced sensory experience throughout the space. This sophisticated approach to residential design earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and material application.
