Fastback Electric Guitar
Fastback Electric Guitar is an innovative musical instrument design that represents a significant evolution in electric guitar aesthetics and functionality, merging classical guitar craftsmanship with contemporary automotive-inspired design language. Created by Spanish designer David Flores Loredo, this instrument exemplifies a harmonious blend of form and function through its lightweight, ergonomic body construction and sophisticated visual elements derived from high-performance sports car aesthetics. The guitar features an alder body finished in Apple Candy Red with gloss polyurethane lacquer, complemented by handcrafted Custom Classic 61 Hot Humbuckers with Split-Coil functionality for versatile sound options. The instrument's distinctive characteristics include a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, modern C shape profile, and a full contact hardtail bridge system, all contributing to its superior playability and tonal qualities. Developed through a meticulous process involving traditional sketching, advanced CAD surface modeling, and precision CNC manufacturing, the Fastback maintains a delicate balance between innovation and tradition, pushing design boundaries while remaining accessible to traditional guitarists. The design, which earned a Golden A' Design Award in the Musical Instruments Design category, showcases exceptional attention to detail in its 25.5-inch scale length, master tone and volume controls with push/pull split-coil functionality, and auto-lock machine heads, establishing new standards in contemporary guitar design while maintaining essential playing characteristics valued by musicians.
