EYE Safety Helmet

EYE Safety Helmet

EYE Safety Helmet is an innovative personal protective equipment design that revolutionizes worker safety through the integration of advanced ultrasonic detection technology. Developed by Liu Mingde - Team from China, this groundbreaking safety helmet addresses the critical blind spot issue present in conventional protective headgear by incorporating an ultrasonic probe at its apex. The helmet's sophisticated detection system can identify falling objects within a two-meter range above the wearer's head, immediately transmitting warning signals through connected earphones to alert workers of impending dangers. Operating on the principle that human reaction time is faster than the 0.5-second fall duration calculated for objects from typical construction heights of 4 meters, the helmet enables workers to take evasive action before impact. Measuring 230mm x 200mm x 140mm, this ergonomically designed protective equipment represents a significant advancement in workplace safety technology. The innovative design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Safety Clothing and Personal Protective Equipment Design category, acknowledging its contribution to industrial safety solutions. The helmet's development, completed at Wuhan University of Technology between October and December 2016, demonstrates a thoughtful application of scientific principles to address real-world safety challenges, particularly in construction and industrial environments where overhead hazards pose significant risks to worker safety.
