Exlicon Multi Shape Compass And Drawing Tool

Exlicon Multi Shape Compass And Drawing Tool

Exlicon Multi Shape Compass and Drawing Tool is an innovative drawing instrument that revolutionizes traditional compass design by eliminating the need for a sharp point while maintaining precision in geometric drawing. This sophisticated tool, designed by Lee Pik Shan and recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Art and Stationery Supplies Design category, represents a significant advancement in drawing tool technology. Crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum and stainless steel, it features a unique combination of base, long/short ruler, and water drop-shaped ruler components that work in harmony through magnetic connections. The design incorporates high-grade N58 neodymium magnets for seamless wing attachment and detachment, enabling users to create over 50 different circle dimensions and more than 100 distinct arc sizes with exceptional accuracy. The tool's innovative approach to geometric drawing includes the capability to produce ellipses, pentagrams, hexagons, and shapes following the golden ratio, all while protecting the drawing surface from damage. Its dimensions of 160mm width, 100mm depth, and 20mm height make it both portable and practical. The design's emphasis on user-friendly operation is evident in its ambidextrous configuration, incorporating advanced fluid dynamics principles that accommodate both left and right-handed users. This award-winning tool demonstrates particular innovation through its use of reusable nano stickers for surface fixation, eliminating the traditional compass's paper-puncturing drawback while maintaining stability during use. The development process involved extensive research and precise manufacturing techniques, including high-precision CNC machining, to ensure consistent quality and performance.
