Everyday chair Chair is an innovative furniture design that reimagines the archetypal toilet seat as a playful yet functional seating solution, created by Italian designer Federico Traverso. This distinctive chair, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, represents a bold intersection of humor and practicality in contemporary furniture design. Crafted through rotational molding using Poleasy, a specialized cleanable polyethylene material, the chair demonstrates exceptional durability and versatility in various environmental conditions. The design features clean lines and ergonomic considerations, with dimensions of 40 cm x 80 cm and a comfortable seat height of 46 cm. Available in both colored and illuminated versions, the chair offers multiple finish options including embossed, glossy, and soft-touch surfaces for indoor use, while the illuminated variant incorporates an E27 socket supporting energy-efficient bulbs up to 32W or RGB lighting with remote control capabilities. The design's development, spanning nine months between Vicenza and Padua, Italy, focused on optimizing industrial production processes while minimizing material porosity through the patented Poleasy technology.
