Eryigit Hospital Bed

Eryigit Hospital Bed

Eryigit Hospital Bed is an innovative medical equipment design that represents a significant advancement in hospital bed technology, combining improved ergonomics with cost-effective manufacturing solutions. This reciprocating hospital bed, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design category, features a sophisticated design that enables nine different positioning configurations while maintaining optimal patient comfort and accessibility. The bed's main structure utilizes aluminum profiles complemented by ABS plastic and glass components, with the strategic use of identical parts significantly reducing production costs while maintaining high functionality. The design's dimensions of 1035mm width, 2090mm depth, and variable height range of 800-1100mm accommodate various medical scenarios, particularly facilitating wheelchair transfers through its low-slung capability. A notable feature is the implementation of translucent glass sidewalls, which effectively addresses the psychological comfort of patients by minimizing the claustrophobic sensation commonly associated with traditional bed rails. The streamlined base incorporates innovative corner transitions that prevent height loss from wheel placement, while the bed's comprehensive design includes practical accessories such as a moving tray and integrated storage cabinets. This medical device exemplifies thoughtful healthcare design by addressing both technical requirements and human factors, demonstrating compliance with international standards while prioritizing patient comfort and caregiver efficiency.
