ERC Autumn Village Reception Centre

ERC Autumn Village Reception Centre

ERC Autumn Village Reception Centre is an innovative architectural project that reimagines the traditional real estate reception center by integrating multiple functions into a cohesive space. Located in Taipei, Taiwan, this 926-square-meter facility represents a groundbreaking approach to mixed-use commercial spaces, combining a bookstore, café, and real estate consultation center within a thoughtfully designed environment. The design, created by lead designer Wey-Duan Luo and team, features a central skylight courtyard anchored by a waxberry tree, surrounded by interlacing platforms at varying heights that create an open, fluid spatial layout. The architectural composition draws inspiration from traditional Chinese courtyard residences while incorporating modern elements such as steel structure with wooden slab floors and innovative brick wall construction utilizing H-beams and metal fixings. The space accommodates diverse functions including exhibition areas, a forum space, and community gathering zones, with flexible layouts that can be adapted for different purposes. The project's distinctive features include custom-made furniture crafted from recycled wood pallets, carefully considered book display heights for optimal user experience, and a note-like sequence arrangement of metal frames on glass walls. This exemplary work of architectural design, completed in 2019, earned recognition with a Gold A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, acknowledging its exceptional integration of commercial, cultural, and social spaces while addressing contemporary urban needs.
