Era Stool is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies the fusion of industrial aesthetics with functional comfort, created by designers Arsalan Ghadimi and Saiedeh Jaafari in Tehran, Iran. This distinctive seating solution features a dynamic structural composition where steel and copper legs are arranged in a circular rotation around a central axis, creating a tornado-like visual effect that suggests movement and continuity. The design's sophisticated engineering incorporates metal rods fixed at precisely calculated angles through top and bottom poles, connected by metal rings, while maintaining a clean aesthetic with concealed fastening elements. The seat itself combines practicality with comfort, featuring a plywood plate base covered with foam and natural leather upholstery, preventing deformation while ensuring user comfort. Standing at 500mm in height with a width and depth of 450mm, the Era Stool's proportions are carefully considered for optimal ergonomics. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2021, represents a significant achievement in contemporary furniture design, particularly notable for its innovative approach to materials and form. The stool's versatility makes it suitable for various interior environments, from residential spaces to hospitality settings, while its sculptural quality allows it to function as a standalone artistic element or in grouped arrangements. The design process involved extensive prototyping and material experimentation, including SLS technology testing, to achieve precise assembly tolerances and manufacturing specifications.
